Natural Disaster Relief

Natural Disaster Relief

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
– Psalm 34

As heartbreaking natural disasters continue to devastate domestic and international communities, we’ve been touched by how many of you have asked how you can help.  We greatly appreciate your interest in bringing hope and relief to those impacted. When you give to Christ Church, your generosity makes it possible for us to provide shelter, food and water to those affected.

Responding to Natural Disasters in 2024

Hurricanes Helene and Milton | Update | October 2024

We are heartbroken by the devastation our neighbors to the east are experiencing in the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. As Relieving Suffering is one of our missional passions, Christ Church is eager to support our brothers and sisters in North and South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.

To respond to the great need, the Christ Church Missions Team has mobilized $30,000 in Disaster Relief funding to Convoy of Hope. This Christ-centered organization is distributing essential emergency supplies such as food, clean water, hygiene items, and more. Convoy of Hope will also provide long-term assistance, when possible, to help people rebuild and recover.

The Missions Team will continue to assess needs on the ground and plans to mobilize more funds to localized organizations or churches as they care for their communities in the weeks ahead.

Please join us in praying for God’s provision, protection, care and comfort for our neighbors as they mourn the loss of loved ones and begin to rebuild

Join a Disaster Relief Team

Additionally, we are assembling a team of Christ Church volunteers to head east and assist in the disaster relief efforts on the ground. If you would like to receive information about this trip when it becomes available, or potentially join the team, please register HERE.
