Kevin Anetsberger | Secretary 

Kevin joined the Trustee Board in 2023 and is currently serving as Secretary and on the Board of Affairs. He has previously served as the Vice Chair of the Board of Elders and as a confirmation mentor. Kevin owns and leads two manufacturing companies–specialty metals and shielding for electronic circuitry. Kevin and his wife, Nancy, were married at Christ Church 33 years ago. They have three children and three grandchildren.

Stephanie Oldenkamp Bruzan  

Stephanie has grown up at Christ Church and participates in MOPS, as well as many other ministries. She joined the Board of Trustees in 2024. Professionally Stephanie is a Chartered Financial Analyst® with more than a decade of experience in the sales and marketing of investment strategies. Stephanie and her husband, John, have two young children.

Sara Harris 

Sara has served in more than a dozen ministries in her time at Christ Church, including Financial Peace University, Women’s Ministry, First Impressions, LIFT Leadership Revolution and Elder Council. She has also served with DuPage Pads, Beds Plus and Aging Care Connections. She joined the Trustee Board in 2022. Sara has served as an Executive Director on a church staff and in the food industry as VP in Human Resources. 

Sara enjoys life with her four adult children/stepchildren and two grandchildren. 

Dr. Peter Hart 

Dr. Hart has served as small group leader, Elder and member and leader of the Bridge Community. He joined the Trustees in 2018. He has been a trustee and member of many Nigerian Christian, professional and cultural organizations. For 25+ years he has served as a physician and nephrologist and is currently the chair of the Department of Medicine for one of the county hospitals in our area.  He and his wife Mina have been married for 34 years and are enjoying their new grandson.

Pete Legan 

Pete has served as a CFO, COO and VP of Sales in the IT industry for 40 years. He joined the Board of Trustees in 2024. Pete enjoys serving with Young Life, Breakthrough Ministries and World Relief. He and his wife Leslie have been married for 40 years and enjoy life with their three adult children and their grandson. 

Tim MacKenzie | Vice Chair & Chief Governance Officer 

Tim is the Managing Director of a private equity firm in Chicago. He serves as the President of Chicago Fellowship and the Hinsdale Young Life Foundation. Tim has been involved in small groups at Christ Church and Bible Study Fellowship. He joined the Trustee Board in 2017 and currently serves as the Vice Chair and Chief Governance Officer. He and his wife Mary have been married 40 years and have three adult children and two grandchildren. 

Dan Meyer | Chair 

Dan has been the Lead Pastor at Christ Church since 1997. Prior to coming to Oak Brook, he served churches in New York, New Jersey, Northern Ireland and California. In addition to authoring three books,
Dan holds four Emmy Awards, is a frequent contributor to Preaching Today and other publications, and chairs the board of Fuller Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Amy, have three adult sons.

Christina Mitchell 

Christina has 15 years of client service experience as a CPA and is currently working within a global consulting firm. She serves on the board of Chicago Cares, as well as volunteering in Christ Church’s Young Families Ministry and First Impressions. She has also served at Christ Church Kids and the Food Pantry. This is Christina’s first year on the Board of Trustees. She and her husband, E.J., have three adventurous children.

Phil Perzek 

Phil is an attorney at a national firm in Chicago with experience in debt finance. He joined the Board of Trustees in 2022. Phil has served with his wife, Gayle, in the Christ Church Preschool Ministry. He has also had various roles in the Nehemiah workplace ministry and held a position on the board of Chicago Fellowship. Gayle and Phil enjoy spending time with their daughter and son-in-law. 

Courtney Shuster 

Courtney has spent over 20 years working in digital product innovation. She currently leads a team in a Fortune 100 biopharma company dedicated to designing and delivering innovations to help shape the future of healthcare. Courtney was baptized and raised at Christ Church and has served in a variety of ministries over the years, including as an Elder and on Elder Council. She also serves on the board of Young Athletes with Hope and is involved with Clarendon Hills Infant Welfare. Courtney and her husband Mark have two children. 

Ricardo Simmons 

Ricardo joined the Trustee Board in 2021, serving as a liaison between the Insight Council and the Trustee Board. During his years at Christ Church he has served as an Elder, as a small group leader and as a member of the Bridge Ministry. He is a retired chemist who worked in the haircare and metalworking industries. Ricardo has three children, a grandson and a granddog. 

Kevin Waden | Treasurer

Kevin joined the Trustee Board in 2017 and currently serves as the Treasurer and head of the Finance committee. Professionally he is a Certified Public Accountant and currently serves as the Senior Vice President Corporate Controller for a Fortune 500 company. Kevin and his wife, Chris, have been married for 25 years, and along with their three children have been very engaged in the life of Christ Church.
